2014 Bowl Previews

The 2013 NCAA Football season has been stellar to say the least. It has been filled with massive upsets and has proven to us just how amazingly unpredictable this sport can be. In the 2013 season we have seen teams like Missouri, Duke, Auburn, Michigan State, Baylor, Clemson, etc. really thrive and prove to the nation that they have developed great football brands at their respective schools. 2013 has taught us that any Goliath can truly be beaten. This Bowl Season there are some great games and fantastic match-ups.
Here are some of the great bowl games to watch out for during this Bowl season.
#22 Duke Blue Devils vs. #20 Texas A&M Aggies
The Duke Blue Devils are coming off a 45-7 loss to the Florida State Seminoles in the ACC Championship game. Duke has been predominantly known as a basketball powerhouse in the NCAA, however, this season they have proven to the nation that they now have built a legitimate football program. Duke is coming into this game with a 10-3 record and hope to earn their 11th win against a very talented Aggies team. QB Anthony Boone, RB Jela Duncanand WR Jamison Crowder, lead the Blue Devils on offense.
The Aggies of Texas A&M are coming into this game with an 8-4 record and are coming off of a heartbreaking loss to the Missouri Tigers in their final game of the regular season. The Aggies offence is led by QB Johnny Manziel, RB Ben Malena and WR Mike Evans.
This game has the potential to turn into a shootout because both of these teams share fairly porous defensive units, respectively. If the Duke Blue Devils want a chance at beating the Aggies of Texas A&M they will have to try and keep Johnny Manziel and that very potent Aggies offence off the field.

This Rose Bowl game is going to be a great one for sure. Both of these teams play a very old school style of football with physical defense and powerful running games. If Michigan State wants to be successful in this game they will need their number one rated defence to play to their potential and make big stops. They will also need their offence to be very productive on all of their possessions against the Stanford defence. Stanford and Michigan State both play a very similar style of football, so this game could go either way. Whoever can avoid the turnovers will win this game.

This game could go either way, however, the Tigers seem to have a slight advantage. If the Cowboys want to be successful against the Tigers they will need to limit the amount of penalties and turnovers on offense and try to score on every possession in order to tire out the Missouri defense. Look for Missouri to try and control the tempo of the game on both sides of the ball.
