2016 NFL Mock Draft

It’s been nearly three full months since the last snap of Super 50, which took place on Sunday, February 7th at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. Nearly three full months since we saw the Denver Broncos crowned as Super Bowl Champions. The offseason is a long and grueling period for all NFL fans, so when the NFL Draft approaches in late April, fans can begin to get excited about the next NFL season as the draft marks the mid-way point of the offseason. Fans know that in just a couple more short months, franchises will get together with their new lineups and begin their organized team activities (OTAs) in preparation for their pre-season games.

There will always be some drama in the weeks leading up to the draft, and sometimes during the draft, which make this event so great. Team officials, coaches and scouts have been analysing and evaluating these great athletes at their combines and Pro Days, trying to gauge the pros and cons of each player. It’s a very stressful time of the year for most NFL franchise officials as they want to ensure that the selections they make will truly benefit their organization. This year’s draft has a solid talent pool of players for each team choose from, making it great for teams that have multiple positional needs to address. Sport writers and pundits spend most of their waking days researching and covering the NFL draft. Loads of Mock Drafts make their way into headlines, each one testifying that it’s more accurate than the version before. However, when it comes down to draft day, all mock drafts are susceptible to being vastly incorrect and inaccurate. But that’s the best part of the draft; you never know what’s going to happen.

After some research and careful consideration, here is my version of a 2016 Mock Draft of the first round.
