Sutton United had its magical run in the FA Cup ended last night at the hands of Premier League side Arsenal, 2-0. As you can tell by the score line, it was not easy for the Gooners to crack a very stingy Sutton side. The two Arsenal goals were scored by Lucas Perez and Theo Walcott, the latter of the two notched his 100th goal as an Arsenal man. Congrats, Theo.
The turf pitch seemed to cause Arsenal some problems, as the team was not used to it. Even that being said, Arsenal should have had a much easier time disposing of Sutton United. Two starters in the Sutton United side-Craig Eastmond, Roarie Deacon- were once Arsenal youth players, so they had more motivation than the rest to upset a very good Arsenal side that Arsene Wenger had fielded.
Playing a non-league side is probably not what Arsenal expected in the fifth round, but Sutton still put up a great fight and their management as well as fans, should be very proud of their achievement.
Here are some of the moments that made the headlines from last night.
Theo Walcott going around the Sutton United dressing room, shaking hands and signing kits. Classy guy.

A look at the dressing room Arsenal was given. It is a far cry from their luxury Emirates dressing room, that is for sure.

This was also a cool gesture. The Arsenal players left their kits behind for the Sutton players to take home. The kits will be distributed during their next match.

All in all, you have to tip your hat to Sutton. Reaching the 5th round of the FA Cup is is a huge feat, especially when you consider that every team they beat was ranked higher than them. This is why the FA Cup is one of the most interesting cups in the world-you never know who will surprise.
